Five-Star Review: Triple-Double Russ

Russ done did it again. A triple-double that is. Oh, also the won.

Final: Thunder 113, Wolves 99. with a triple-double in six of his last eight games: 29 points, 10 boards, 12 assists.

Westbrook is the first player since Jason Kidd in 2007-08 to have eight-plus triple-doubles in a season. (Kidd had 13.)

— Royce Young (@royceyoung)

At the end of the game Westbrook was one rebound away from a triple-double but he worked the scorer’s table to count a tip rebound.

Westbrook campaigning the scorer’s table and PR staff. Don’t ever believe he doesn’t care about triple-doubles.

— Darnell Mayberry (@DarnellMayberry)

They’ve changed it to a rebound. Westbrook finishes with a triple-double.

— Darnell Mayberry (@DarnellMayberry)

Maybe Westbrook got some home cooking from the scorer’s table because this was his “tenth rebound.”

Like the scorer’s table, the Wolves just had their hands full of Westbrook all night long.

OKC is still a game behind New Orleans for eighth in the West.

Robert Covington may not be a household name yet, but he has emerged as one of the best shooters on the Sixers. He is shooting 37 percent from the 3-point line this season and head coach Brett Brown has given him the green light to shoot at will. In the first half against the Kings, Covington hit five three-pointers and added one more in the second to finish the game with 24ool veteran James Milner has revealed he was branded a “donkey” by Leo Messi during the first-leg of their stunning Champions League win over Barcelona.Milner was playing for the Reds in their semi-final first-leg clash at the Nou Camp and was tasked points.

Led by Covington and Nerlens Noel (16 points, 12 rebounds) the Sixers came back from double digits in the second half to beat the 114-107. At one point the Sixers were on a 45-16 run.

Sadly the Kings let an amazing performance from (39 points and a career-high 24 rebounds) go to waste.

Every now and then shows off his underrated athleticism. Poor Thomas Robinson didn’t know what hit him.

The raced out to a 19-point lead in the second quarter but the second half was a different story as the simply got things done.

The Hornets out-rebounded the Bulls 55-36. Outscored them 27-10 in 2nd chance points. Outscored them 49-31 in the 2nd half.

Bulls fall to 4-6 since Rose went down and have lost to Hornets twice in that span.

— K.C. Johnson (@KCJHoop)

The Hornets are now tied with Miami for eighth in the East and the Bulls are tied with the for third.

apparently didn’t like the movie Birdman.

The Raptors easily took care of the tonight as (19 points, 8 rebounds and 8 assists) and (18 points, 6 rebounds, and 6 assists) led them to victory. With the 102-92 win, the Raptors are now tied with Chicago for third in the East.

Near the end of Raptors/Heat a dodgeball game broke out.

hit with a pump fake which worked for a brief second. The athletic Gordon had a quick second jump which Zeller was not expecting at all.

Gordon should have stopped instead as he led the to the 95-88 win by scoring a season-high 30 points. The Celtics were down by 11 at the start of the second half and used an unique strategy to get back in the game, Hack-an-Elfrid. The rookie is a 55 percent shooter from the free-throw line and Brad Stevens used that to his advantage. The strategy worked as Payton shot 4-15 from the charity stripe.

Or perhaps Stevens cursing out the Celtics at the hright attitude.Atletico will be defending a 1-0 lead from thr first-leg of their Champions League round 16 tie.Koke said, “[The second leg] will squeeze us a lot, I have seen a few teams so direct and intense. We have to try to win.”If we only thinArsenal are pondering a move for Borussia Dortmund ace Mario Gotze. The Germany international has a year to run on his current deal but is said to be considering his future with the Bundesliga club, says BILD.Gotze, who scored seven times in an impresk alf was the real winning strategy.

Turner said Stevens cussed out the Celtics at halftime.

Apparently, DeAndre Jordan has range?

DeAndre Jordan… For 3?!? On !

— NBA (@NBA)

If Jordan making a three wasn’t crazy enough, Chandler Parsons somehow made this wild shot

Chandler Parsons: “A la Larry Bird” AND-1 on !

Big Baby absolutely knocked Dirk Nowitzki out while going for a loose ball. Thankfully, Nowitzki didn’t get hurt which is remarkable because Big Baby is a big boy.

The Mavs dominated the Clippers getting the impressive 129-99 win. Things turned around for the Mavs in the second half and got out of hand in the fourth. Solid win for the Mavs. Maybe actually worked…

Somehow ’s hand became possessed and dunked the ball on alley-oop.

This is just a beautiful pass by . Yes, Jameer Nelson.

The Warriors rested Steph Curry, Klay Thompson, Andre Iguodala and Andrew Bogut but the rest of the team still gave the a run for their money. Clutch three-point shooting from (three three-pointers in the fourth) and strong performances from Faried (24 points and 17 rebounds) and (24 points and 7 rebounds) helped the Nuggets end the Warriors’ five-game win streak. The Nuggets are now 5-2 under interim head coach Melvin Hunt.

The had no chance against the tonight as was just too much to handle. The Blazers coasted for the 118-99 win.

Dame checks out with 28 points (9-12 FG, 5-7 3PT) and 9 assists. Good day at the office.

— Trail Blazers (@trailblazers)

The Blazers are now one game behind Memphis for the second seed in the West.

With the game basically over, pushed while going for a rebound. Williams didn’t like that so he got in Leonard’s face. Leonard just walked away from the altercation but his teammate didn’t like what was happening so he confronted Williams. Williams didn’t appreciate Freeland getting in his face so he headbutted him. Freeland did the same and both players were ejected with minutes left in the game. SMH.

Is there anything Kyle Korver can’t do?

The Hawks scored 31 points in the fourth quarter to get the come from behind 96-87 win. Paul Millsap led ATL with 23 points and 9 rebounds.

Dennis Schroder has a bit of an attitude that often comes out when he is playing. After dunking on Archie Goodwin, Schroder let his eyes do the talking. Goodwin didn’t take too kindly to this and pushed him. Both players got technicals.

Alex Len rolled his ankle in the fourth quarter and had to leave the game. The Suns center has been injured numerous times since entering the league last year and this is the second ankle injury for the team as Brandon Knight is also out with a bum ankle.

Len was assisted off the floor to take him to the training room. He has missed time for a right ankle sprain twice this season.
